anthropic has announced a significant expansion of its AI capabilities with the launch of "claude for Creative Work," a new suite of integrations designed to embed the AI assistant directly into professional creative workflows. This update introduces a series of specialized connectors for eight leading software platforms, covering 3D modeling, visual design, music production, and live performance.
The newly supported platforms are Blender, Adobe, Autodesk, Ableton, Splice, Affinity by Canva, Resolume, and SketchUp. Each connector provides unique functionalities tailored to the specific software:
  • Adobe: The integration provides access to over 50 tools within the Creative Cloud ecosystem, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Express, allowing users to execute complex tasks via natural language.

  • Blender: A key highlight is the official connector developed by the Blender team itself. Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), it allows Claude to interACT with Blender's Python API for scene analysis, debugging, and tool creation. Notably, because it uses an open protocol, other large language models can also leveRAGe this connector.

  • Autodesk Fusion & SketchUp: These integrations enable users to create and modify complex 3D models through conversational Prompts, streamlining the industrial and Architectural design process.

  • Ableton & Splice: Music producers can now query official documentation for Ableton Live and Push directly within Claude, or search Splice's vast library of royalty-free Samples using natural language descriptions.

  • Resolume: VJs can control their compositions in real-time, adjusting layers and effects with simple text commands.

In conjunction with this launch, Anthropic is deepening its commitment to the open-source community by joining the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron. The company will contribute at least €240,000 (APProximately $281,000) annually, joining other major sponsors like Netflix, Epic Games, and Wacom. Furthermore, to foster the next generation of AI-augmented artists, Anthropic is partnering with three prestigious institutions—Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Ringling College of Art and Design, and Goldsmiths, University of London—to integrate these new tools into their creative computing curricula.
