Israeli VC Fund Skinos Ventures Launches with $26M to Back AI and cybersecurity startups
Skinos Ventures, a newly established venture capital firm based in Israel, has officially launched with a US$26 million fund dedicated to investing in early-stage Technology companies. The fund will focus primarily on seed and Series A startups operating within the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity sectors.
The majority of the capital for Skinos Ventures was provided by Shlomo Kramer, a renowned figure in the tech industry and co-founder of the Cybersecurity giant Check Point. Kramer also serves as a strategic adviser to the new fund. Skinos Ventures plans to deploy its capital by making APProximately five key Investments, with an initial check size of US$2.5 million allocated for each stage of funding.
The fund is managed by General Partner Yishay Yovel, who brings extensive industry experience as the former Chief Marketing and strategy Officer at Cato Networks. Skinos Ventures has already begun its investment ACTivities, having backed a company named Spectrum and another startup that is currently operating in stealth mode.
