SailPoint, a leading US-based identity security firm, announced on May 25 a strategic integration with anthropic’s Claude Compliance API for Claude Enterprise. This collaboration addresses the growing corporate demand for tighter oveRSIght regarding employee AI usage and access controls.
Now available to SailPoint Identity SECurity Cloud customers, the integration is specifically designed to help organizations monitor users, AI Agents, and automated accounts linked to claude Enterprise. According to Anthropic, the compliance API provides organizations with comprehensive access to ACTivity records, user roles, and other Operational data tied to Claude Enterprise usage, significantly supporting audit and governance processes.
SailPoint emphasized that this integration aims to mitigate "shadow AI" risks as the adoption of Generative AI continues to expand across workplaces. IBM has previously DeFined "shadow AI" as the unsanctioned use of AI tools, noting that employees frequently share sensitive work Information with AI platforms without employer APProval. This strategic focus also aligns with the latest guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) regarding AI inventories and the necessity for ongoing monitoring in AI governance.
