NVIDIA Partners with AlphaGo Creator’s startup to Build Next-Gen reinforcement learning Infrastructure
Nvidia announced on May 13 a strategic partnership with Ineffable Intelligence, a London-based AI startup, to develop large-scale Reinforcement Learning (RL) systems. Ineffable Intelligence was founded by David Silver, the former Google DeepMind scientist renowned for leading the development of AlphaGo and AlphaZero.
The collaboration focuses on engineering advanced hardware and software infrastructure that enables AI models to learn through simulation and experience, rather than relying solely on static human-generated datasets. This next-generation system will be powered by Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell platform and the upcoming Vera Rubin architecture, designed to handle the intense computational demands of Real-time AI learning loops.
The partnership follows Ineffable Intelligence's record-breaking US$1.1 billion seed funding round in April, led by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Nvidia, Google, and other major investors. This deal highlights a growing trend in the tech industry, as top researchers from leading AI labs like DeepMind, OpenAI, and anthropic launch independent ventures to push the boundaries of artificial general intelligence (AGI).
