NTT Data has officially partnered with HTX, the Home Team Science and Technology Agency under Singapore’s Ministry of Home AffAIrs, to bolster the nation's cybersecurity defenses. The collaboration was formalized through a MEMOrandum of UnderStanding (MoU) signed on May 12 at the Milipol TechX Summit 2026.
The primary goal of this strategic alliance is to co-develop cutting-edge AI tools designed to support frontline Operations. A key initiative includes the establishment of a cloud-based digital forensics and malware laboratory. This facility aims to significantly enhance the speed of investigations, improve threat detection capabilities, and enable more effective live incident response.
The urgency of this partnership is underscored by recent statistics, as scam-related financial losses in Singapore exceeded S$913 million (US$720 million) in 2025. To combat this rising tide of cybercrime, the collaboration will also focus on advanced networking, the adoption of sustainable technologies, and the implementation of AI Automation for critical workflows, including fraud detection and pre-payment verification checks.
