The core concept is straightforward: dEMOnstrate a task once, and the program remembers the process for future automation. During a demo, Lai showed how the platform could learn to order coffee online. IrisGo recorded the steps to select a latte from Philz Coffee, input credit card details, and complete the purchase. When asked to repeat the task, the agent complied autonomously.

A Built-in Skills Library: Ready-to-use workflows for email drafting, invoice processing, report building, and document summarization.
Behavioral Learning: The system observes desktop behavior to automatically add new tasks to its list of potential actions.
Coding Assistant: Similar to OpenAI’s Codex or anthropic’s Claude Code, designed to assist developers in real-time.
"Our target audience is knowledge workers in white-collar companies," Lai explained. He noted that despite the power of modern AI models, office work often remains manual and repetitive. IrisGo AIms to shift this dynamic, allowing humans to focus on high-level conceptual work while agentic systems handle clerical duties in the background.

A Standout feature of IrisGo is its commitment to privacy. The system is designed to process a significant amount of data on-device. While it utilizes a hybrid architecture—offloading larger, complex tasks to the cloud—the company guarantees that cloud processing "only occurs when explicitly authorized by the user and uses end-to-end encryption."

Lai, a Carnegie Mellon University alumnus like Andrew Ng, leveRAGed this shared connection to demo the product, ultimately securing Investment from Ng's AI Fund. IrisGo recently launched beta versions of its macOS and Windows apps. Furthermore, the company is aggressively pursuing partnerships with hardware manufacturers to preinstall the software on new devices, having already struck a deal with Acer, with hopes for similar agreements soon.
