Google Cloud has officially expanded its regional footprint by announcing the Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia, a new program dedicated to fostering Artificial Intelligence innovation. In a strategic move, Google Cloud is collaborating with key government and innovation agencies across the region, including Enterprise Singapore, Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and digital AffAIrs (Komdigi), Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), and Ho Chi Minh City’s startup and Innovation Hub (SIHUB).
APPlications are now open for the inaugural cohort of 25 startups, scheduled to commence in August 2026. This three-month, equity-free program is specifically tailored for seed- to Series B-stage startups that are developing cutting-edge AI products.
Selected participants will receive comprehensive engineering and market support from google Cloud. A highlight of the accelerator is an in-person residency in California, featuring immersive sessions at Google’s Mountain View and San Francisco campuses, as well as exclusive networking meetings with top-tier venture capital firms on Sand Hill Road and in Palo Alto.
While Google for Startups operates various programs across the Asia-Pacific region—including in Australia, India, Japan, Korea, and Singapore—this specific cohort marks a targeted effort to accelerate AI Development in Southeast Asia. Local partners such as Enterprise Singapore, Komdigi, NIC, and SIHUB will provide additional localized support for startups hailing from Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam, respectively.
