This major release marks a significant upgrade to the country's "Smart Education of China" public service platform, designed to expand international access to high-quality educational resources and integrate cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence tools.
The newly upgraded platform aims to foster a global ecosystem for AI-driven learning. Key features include a dedicated Global AI Education Service Platform, which connects governments, schools, and enterprises with AI educational products such as smart Agents and teacher training resources. Additionally, the upgrade introduces a lifelong learning hub offering international courses on topics ranging from vocational Skills to Cultural Heritage, as well as a specialized "Love Chinese" Learning CommUnity that leveRAGes AI to provide Personalized, immersive Chinese language learning experiences for global users.
According to official announcements, the Smart Education of China platform now serves learners in APProximately 220 countries and regions. The initiative underscores China's commitment to bridging the global digital divide and promoting the equitable sharing of educational resources.
The launch was a highlight of the three-day conference (May 11–13), which also featured the release of the China Smart Education Development Report (2025–2026) and the Hangzhou Initiative on AI in education.
