Israeli cybersecurity giant Check Point Software Technologies has announced the acquisition of the team and Intellectual pRoPErty of Deepchecks, a startup specializing in AI system evaluation and monitoring. This strategic move is designed to significantly expand Check Point's AI Security capabilities and fortify its next-generation SECurity platforms.
According to industry sources, the deal is valued between US$10 million and US$20 million. Founded in 2019 by CEO Philip Tannor and CTO Shir Chorev, Deepchecks has raised APProximately US$14 million to date. The company is known for developing robust software tools that evaluate, test, and monitor the performance and integrity of AI and machine learning models.
Check Point stated that integrating Deepchecks' Technology will be pivotal for its new Agentic Network Security Orchestration platform. This innovative platform leveRAGes AI Agents to autonomously manage firewall policies, streamline access controls, and assist with complex troubleshooting and regulatory compliance tasks.
This marks Check Point's fourth acquisition of an Israeli Cybersecurity firm this year, following previous deals with Cyclops Security, Cyata, and Rotate. The acquisition comes as the cybersecurity leader aims to strengthen its foothold in the rapidly evolving AI and cloud security markets, following a first-quarter revenue increase of 5% to US$668 million.
