The open-source personal AI assistant openclaw (365k GitHub stars) has released version v2026.4.26. This update brings three major changes: a new one-CLIck migration tool for competitors, full group chat capabilities for the QQ bot, and a comprehensive overhaul of the OLlama local model integration.

🔄 One-Click Migration Tool

The newly added OpenClaw migrate command allows users to effortlessly import configurations, mEMOries, model providers, MCP servers, Skills, and credentials from Claude Code/Desktop and Hermes. The migration process includes automatic backups and supports both preview and trial run modes to ensure a smooth transition.

💬 QQ Bot Enhancements

The QQ bot has received significant upgrades for group interACTions. New features include @mention wake-up, independent configuration for each group, and message queue sorting. For private chats, streaming messages are now supported, and large file transfers have been optimized to use chunked uploads for better reliability.

⚙️ Overhauled Ollama integration

The Ollama integration has seen the most extensive improvements.
  • Model Capabilities: OpenClaw can now automatically read model configurations from Ollama, such as context length and tool support, eliminating the need for manual setup. It also supports native-level thinking effort for Groq and LM Studio.

  • Networking: Users can now directly configure and trust remote Ollama endpoints, including LAN and TAIlnet addresses.

  • Performance: embedding generation has been switched to a batched interface for improved performance.

✨ Other New Features & Fixes

  • New Providers: Tencent Yuanbao and Cerebras have been added as new channels/providers.

  • Matrix: Added one-click end-to-end encryption.

  • Google Meet: Integration now supports joining meetings directly through the OpenClaw browser and automatically acquiring audio/video permissions.

  • Operations: Chat logs are now automatically compressed when they become too long. Scheduled tasks now include concurrency control and delivery result classification. The configuration editor features change Comparison and sensitive value masking.

  • bug fixes: This release includes over 200 bug fixes to improve overall stability.
