On a sunny afternoon, a young woman walked along the path in the rooftop garden of an office building toward a metal bench, intending to sit down and rest. She first touched the seat with her hand and didn’t think much of it, but just as she turned to sit down, she quickly jumped back up, her hands frozen mid-air as she took half a step backward—only then realizing that the bench had been baked hot by the sun. She fanned herself with her palms, walked around to the shade, and sat down on another wooden bench. When she noticed her friend had captured the whole scene on camera, she could only laugh helplessly.
