The model is one driving force behind Anthropic's capital-raising efforts, as the company needs substantial compute resources to run it, the source noted.

Compute infrastructure has been a central focus for Anthropic lately. Earlier this month, the company reached a deal with Amazon that centers heavily on AI infrastructure.
