DuMate

DuMate, known in Chinese as Baidu Dazi, is a desktop General-purpose AI agent developed by BAIdu AI Cloud. Rather than stopping at chat responses or drafted text, it is designed to take a stated goal in plain language and cARRy out the multi-step work needed to reach it, including reading local documents, recognizing what is on screen, and operating APPlications on the computer. The result is a finished deliverable file instead of a block of text the user must copy elsewhere.

Because desktop Agents can delete files or expose data, DuMate isolates execution in a local sandbox, limits access to folders the user explicitly authorizes, requires human confirmation for high-risk actions such as deletion or outbound data transfer, and keeps an audit log of every step. Local files are kept on the machine by default rather than uploaded automatically.
