DAIMAX

DAIMAX is a conversational APP-generation workspace from Amap, part of Alibaba Group. Instead of asking users to dRAG components across a visual canvas, it lets them describe a product IDEa in everyday language and then uses multiple AI Agents to assemble a working application prototype. The platform is currently in Public Beta and is primarily aimed at WeChat Mini Programs, with additional support for iOS prototype previews and web applications. Its positioning is closest to “Vibe Coding” for Lightweight business apps rather than a traditional low-code editor.

What it does

DAIMAX accepts a natural-language brief, such as a request for a store appointment or check-in mini program. The system then coordinates Agents for requirement breakdown, UI design, front-end generation, back-end logic, and bASIc Testing. The result is not just a static mockup: the platfORM aims to produce an interACTive prototype with hosted services such as user accounts, Data Storage, file upload, and cloud functions. Users can continue the conversation to change layouts, add pages, adjust form rules, or extend business logic without rebuilding the project from scratch.

It is less appropriate for large, complex, high-concurrency commercial systems, projects requiring full private deployment, or teams that need a complete native iOS package ready for App Store submission. AI-generated code should be reviewed and tested before production use.

How to get started

Users open the web workbench, describe the desired application, or clone a template from the inspiration gallery. After generation, they can scan a QR code to test a mini program in Wechat, continue refining it through chat, and then export the code for review and publication. iOS ouTPUt is intended for prototype preview and dEMOnstration rather than direct App Store packAGIng. The interface and Workflow are Chinese-language and centered on the WeChat ecosystem, so teams outside that market may find it less immediately applicable.

Pricing and access caveat

During public beta, basic generation is described as free. Commercial pricing has not been formally announced and may later include paid tiers based on projects, compute, traffic, code export, or advanced Amap capabilities. WeChat platform certification fees remain separate. Because this is a beta product, features, availability, and liMITs may vary, and users should verify current terms before relying on it for CLIent work or commercial deployment.
