The 'Mizhi Li Zicheng' image emphasizes historical basis. Li Zicheng was a native of Mizhi, Shaanxi, and the leader of the peasant uprising at the end of the Ming Dynasty, also known as the 'King of Shun'. The artwork incorporates the gullies of the Loess Plateau, Panlong Mountain, Li Zicheng's palace, rebel troops, banners, war horses, and the beacon fires of the chaotic late Ming era, portraying his tragic fate of emerging from the yellow earth of Mizhi and becoming embroiled in the dynastic transition.
